The Others

We have finally got videos working on our blog, so here’s the first installment of some things we have been wanting to post for a while.

To kick things off we wanted to introduce you to some buddy’s of ours from L.A. who run a label called City-Of-Others. Steve and Steve (its founders) are doing a really awesome job of creating a community of students, artists, musicians, and ‘culture impacting individuals’ who are brought together by the clothes they wear. A little while back the boy’s did a special on their trip to the Coachella music festival. This video is the latest edition of their ‘things to see and do’ at Coachella series. Check out the double semi-trailer-turned-on-its-side sculpture. Huge.

You can find more footage of the trip on their site where there’s also a heap of other cool stuff that you can spend hours perusing. As we do.

Its a space odyssey

We have just wrapped things up in the studio with our model Remi, aka Remington, aka The Love Jungle Guy, who did his thing for us once again. The shoot was for our second range, Space Odyssey, which is due for release in August. The collection is basically an upgrade/extension of the look we went for with In White Rooms and will mark the official launch of Love Jungle. More about this later!

For now, all we want to tell you is that we will be releasing the complete lookbook in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned! To tie you all over until then, here is a small taste of what to expect.

A shot from the lookbook.

The official campaign poster.

Big up’s to Remi for putting up with our shit and for being generally awesome.

Swedish Generation

Last night it was the Swedes who were doing the hosting when we headed to Oxford Art Factory for ‘Generation S.’ The night was organised by the Swedish Embassy – in collaboration with Somedays and a few other Swede representatives – to pay tribute to their home country’s fashion and music.

Cheap Monday, Dr. Denim, Gram Shoes and Julian Red are all (you guessed it) Swedish and are all taking over Sydney at the moment. Everyone seems to be falling in love with their clean, simple, fresh and affordable products. At least that’s the reason we are digging Dr. Denim jeans at the moment. If you haven’t heard of these guys, head into Somedays and check them out. Their cut is right, the denim is awesome, and their cheap as. If you’ve got a pair then you know what we talkin’ about.

The highlight of the night was definately the shoot that each brand did in the OAF fish tank.
