Qatar is a small Arab emirate in the Middle East that shares a border with Saudi-Arabia and is otherwise surrounded by the Persian Gulf, with a population of roughly 1,409,000 (in 2009) and a skateboarding scene that is nearly non-existant. The Spanish Nike SB team recently travelled to Qatar and the above is a short documentary on their experience. Qatar is a country that is currently in development and though the Spaniards had a hard time finding places to ride, when the construction is completed Qatar will be a skaters dream, that is, if it weren’t for the 40 degree Celsius heat and all the security guards.
